Ubud is a unique place and is the central place of art, healing, yoga and meditation in Bali. Here people are strong in preserving their culture.

The Ubud name comes from the word of ubad which means medicine, because so many medicinal plants spread wildly in the rice fields and also in the environments where they live.

Your guide will take you away from the bustle of a busy city into a hidden place in Ubud to see the natural smiles of farmers when planting and maintain rice in paddy fields. Your guide will also show a number of plants used in Bali traditional medicine and their culture of cooking. He will also show you how to learn to identify this magical plant by sight, smell and taste.

Along the way we will visit the organic farm where we will see fruits, vegetables and herbs grown without the use of pesticides. Keep your eyes open for farmers to offer up a fresh coconut to rehydrate your body, and watch as they skillfully climb to pick your coconut.

The journey across the green rice fields with various crops will take more than 2 hours with stops along the way to rest, enjoy the scenery and take photos.
